Originally from Congo, Tanan, 8, grew up in a refugee camp in Uganda. His family was selected by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to settle in the Netherlands. Eefje Blankevoort followed the boy's installation in his new house, his attempts to balance on a bicycle, his learning of Dutch.
