PARENTS SPECIAL! (children in the French immersion program – FSL)

OBJECTIVES:
This special webinar for parents/guardians of children in FSL (Core French, Extended, Immersion) introduces parents to an array of IDÉLLO resources designed for children in Grade 8-9 (13-15 years old). We will suggest certified media content and fun activities that will engage them while they continue developing the French language at home.

Suzanne Korell

Educator, Suzanne Korell, agente de liaison

Suzanne Korell has been working in the field of French as a Second Language since the very first day of her career. She was first a teacher at intermediate and high school levels, then an academic advisor in the Ottawa Catholic School Board. Currently, she is part of Groupe Média TFO as IDELLO's Liaison Officer and FSL Specialist. Suzanne is also qualified to train examiners and evaluators for DELF-DALF exams at the A1, A2, B1 and B2 levels. With a passion for education and language learning, Suzanne has worked on writing educational documents to fulfill the needs of French as a Second Language teachers all across Ontario. Some of these collaborative works include The Ontario Curriculum FSL Revised 2013, Le CECR : 10 grandes idées, Guide de réflexion sur la pratique pédagogique pour l’enseignement de FL2, The FSL Student Proficiency and Confidence Pilot Project and, more recently, À L’ÉCOUTE, new resources specially designed to develop listening skills in FSL students, exclusively on IDELLO.ORG.
