A German tale of the Grimm brothers recorded in France and told by Martine Tollet: “A couple already had seven boys when a daughter was born. She was so fragile that her father feared for her life. He sent the seven brothers to draw water at the source that was said to be miraculous for saving the little girl. They left but did not return… A series of trials will follow which will lead the little girl to free her brothers.”
