A tale recorded in Mauritania and told by Mamadou Sall: The devil is bored in his palace underground. He then decides to go back to the surface. He meets a very beautiful girl. Because she refuses his advances and his gifts, he takes her beauty from her in order to punish her. Deprived of her beauty, the girl will nevertheless have a happy life, filled with love.
