Canada C3: Trois côtes, un voyage
Come experience the Canada C3 Expedition through this inspiring film, which traces the 150-day journey of an icebreaker in 2017 from Toronto to Victoria through the Northwest Passage. This educational, entertaining and inspiring film contains exclusive never-before-seen footage of the world’s longest coastline.
Travelling along Canada’s three coasts, the teams of Canadians from diverse backgrounds on this expedition travelled more than 25,000 km, visiting communities, national parks, marine protected areas and many other extraordinary places and remote corners of our country, while discovering and sharing touching stories about the people, places, wildlife, climate issues, history and cultures that make up our vast and rich country – a community of communities.
This journey traces the adventures that have shaped Canada since 150 and presents many elements relevant to Social Studies discussions across Canada’s history, geography and culture.
This journey aims at a reconciliation with the First Nations, which requires collaboration and communication between the descendants of the colonial settlers and the First Nations people here and elsewhere. The numerous testimonies allow us to realize the negative impacts that the First Nations have experienced, which sparks a conversation that aims towards the resolution of problems.
