Interview: Jackson Ho tells us about his job as a cameraman. A cameraman is responsible for taking quality images for productions like TV shows, movies, commercials and more. Even before arriving on a set, the cameraman selects and prepares his equipment to adequately meet the needs of the shoot. Once there, he sets up his equipment such as cameras, tripods and all the necessary lighting equipment. It ensures the right framing, the points of focus and the good exposure of the subject. Most of the time, the cameraman works in a team, especially with a sound engineer and a director. The cameraman can provide practical and creative commentary when planning filming scenes. He must therefore have quick reflexes to make adjustments throughout a shoot.
