(Capsule) Renelle Sib, Chef privée - Bolibana et Renelle Sib Catering - Service traiteur, Ottawa

Originally from Burkina Faso, I arrived in Canada in October 2007. I did my secondary studies at De La Salle public high school in Ottawa. Once I graduated, even though I was drawn to the culinary world, a world in which I had been immersed since my childhood because my mother had a restaurant in my country of origin, I still chose to continue my post-secondary studies in political science at the University of Ottawa. After my first year at university, during my summer vacation, I wondered about my future. So, after a few weeks of researching the websites of various post-secondary institutions in the Ottawa region, I followed my passion and decided on the Culinary Management program at Collège La Cité. Through my career filled with challenges, I had the chance to work in cafes and hotel restaurants. Today I have my own catering business in the National Capital region. I am a chef and I offer meals inspired by my culture and prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients.
