Les mimistoires

Once upon a time… there were children who told stories in their own words, straight from their imagination. Brought to the screen in animation, these stories full of charm, humor and adventure mix reality and fantasy and immerse us in the unbridled imagination of children. A real pleasure!

In the classroom, you can use this series as an introduction to explore the creative process and the various steps involved in a writing project. As the narrators of these mimistoires, children and students can learn to develop their own stories. To make this an interdisciplinary project, you can turn this idea into a dramatic production by having the children and students add key elements to this work that will come entirely from their imaginations.

Through communication, independent learning and innovation, this series features a project that flows from the creativity of young children. It not only allows children and students to develop their communication skills, but also to stimulate their imagination, develop their self-esteem and create links with other students who also share their stories.

This series is accompanied by nine pedagogical sheets for the pedagogical team in Kindergarten and teachers in Grade 1. These sheets explore predictions, mental imagery, characters, story development and many other topics.
