Buquan Miao, ingénieur, quitte la Chine communiste à l’âge de vingt ans. Après un séjour à Paris, il décide de s’installer au Canada, où il deviendra professeur et chercheur à l’Université de Moncton. Ambassadeur de l’Empire du Milieu en Acadie, Buquan incarne le pluralisme par son ouverture d’esprit, son dévouement à un Canada progressif et multiculturel, de même que son amour de la langue française.
