RelieF 2010/2011 - Louis-Marie Achille
On the one hand, economic development, and on the other, heritage. In Orléans, a suburb of Ottawa, it is not always easy to accommodate urban development with heritage conservation. The demolition of a house that is more than a century old, a symbol of the local Francophonie, has led to the creation of an organization with the mandate of protecting heritage properties. This series of reports encourages students to reflect on their sense of belonging to the French language and provides them with models of determination to preserve Francophone culture in Ontario.
