Former Justice Louise Arbour is without a doubt the world´s best known Canadian jurist. She was the first woman to be appointed to the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and her career culminated with her nomination to the Supreme Court of Canada. This fiercely independent woman´s international career has been just as spectacular. Her many accomplishments include serving as the United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights and Chief Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal. Now a jurist in residence, Louise Arbour uses her vast experience to serve her people.
