Lucie is a little girl living at 64, Zoo Lane. Every evening, her friend Georgina the giraffe comes to pick her up from her bedroom window. The other animals of the zoo then gather around Lucie to tell her a story of the wild life of the animals.

These stories are based on the fundamental values to be promoted in children. The themes that are addressed are: sharing, mutual aid and respect for others. The friendship that Lucie maintains with the animals of the zoo and the conflicts which cause distress to her are represented in parallel among the characters of the stories that are told to her.

This series highlights essential skills such as the importance of collaborative work leading to a personal sense of accomplishment and well-being. Students learn to recognize respect and put it into practice in their interactions with others.
