Did you know that the Prairie Bison is the largest land mammal in North America?

Note: Its natural habitat is found in the Prairie provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) and not in British Columbia. The wood bison is the wild species found in B.C., particularly in the northeastern part of the province (along the Northern Rockies).
