Sometimes, it's easy to agree. Everyone agrees that snow is cold and the sun is hot. But Hugo knows that we never agree on everything, like when he wants to play baseball and everyone wants to play with a doll.

Hugo likes certain things rather than others, like his grandma's homemade soup, good music or the color orange. Hugo wonders if the world would not be better if it were only made of the things he likes, and if everything was orange.

Many things change over time. The egg becomes a bird, the caterpillar, a butterfly and the child, an adult. But Hugo likes certain things as they are.

Hugo wonders how many birthdays it takes to get old. The young version of Hugo meets the old one and the two of them set off on a crazy adventure to answer this question.
