Kit visits Pluto and learns that it is the weakness of gravity that prevents him from skiing. The moon Charron laughs at him but after starting a snowball fight they become good friends!

Without energy, Kit gets lost in the Kuiper belt where he sees a mysterious red light on one of the asteroids. He uses his last strength to go and see them and meets a friend he calls Mr. Battery.

During their journey, Kit and Mr. Battery meet the old probe: Voyager. She is so tired that our heroes try to cheer her up and, most of all, to give her energy. But Voyager wants to go home and Kit and Mr. Battery have a hard time stopping her. Finally, they manage to persuade her to continue her mission.

As Orion approaches, Kit and Mr. Battery can't agree on what direction to take. They part ways : Kit visits Betelgeuse and realizes that it is much less fun without his friend. He returns to Mr. Battery and apologizes to him. Together they visit Rigel.

Kit is looking for a special gift for Mr. Battery's birthday. This leads them to the tired old red star. Kit doesn't see the danger but Mr. Battery manages to pull them away, just before the star explodes into a supernova. Mr. Battery's gift is a view of the great fireworks of space.

Kit and Mr. Battery visit a beautiful nebula. But Mr. Battery gets lost and Kit has to go looking for him. He finally finds him near a protostar and the two of them witness the birth of a new star.

A big star disappears. Kit and Mr. Battery investigate. They question witnesses about this mysterious disappearance. Their investigation leads them to an unknown black monster. They learn that this star has turned into a black hole that draws Kit closer and closer to it. Only Mr. Battery's quick reaction saves them from being…

In an unknown solar system, Kit and Mr. Battery find three exoplanets. They look for signs of life but the first two planets are rather hostile! On the third planet, they make a fantastic discovery... but later, we discover that it was just a prank by Kit!

Kit is bored while Mr. Battery is painting. So he takes a little trip on an asteroid. He arrives at his destination but can't leave, and he doesn't know where he is. He has to draw a map of our galaxy to find Mr. Battery.

At the edge of our galaxy, Kit and Mr. Battery have to decide where they are going. They bet they are going to another galaxy. But when they get to the queue, they decide they've seen enough and it's time to go home.

On their way home, Kit and Mr. Battery find two interesting stars that explode right in front of them and burn their space book in the process. Mr. Battery reassures Kit, and they both float back to Earth. They return home safely.
