Max & Maestro

Max, Bakary and Léon forgot Lamia's birthday. To make up for it, Max offers to attend a rehearsal with the Maestro, but Lamia is not very interested. He then realizes that perhaps he did not give this gift for the right reasons.

Léon signs up for a theater audition, but is not the most confident. He does not receive the expected role but Max teaches him to overcome failures to persevere.

When he sees his reputation falling, Bakary decides to get closer to Ricardo to copy his tastes in clothing, music and even his hurtful repartee. Max has set up a scheme to remind Bak who he really is.

Max finds himself forced to make a presentation with Ricardo, with whom he has nothing in common. Max decides to learn a little more about Ricardo to find common ground.

Lamia is going to take entrance exams for a study program in London. Max is depressed and angry. The Maestro advises him to express his emotions, even sad ones, rather than repressing them.

To buy back a vase they've broken, Max and Bakary become delivery boys. Going too fast, the two boys make mistakes. The Maestro teaches Max that, just as in a crescendo, you don't want to rush through the stages to build up speed.

Max feels angry but can't understand why. The Maestro encourages him to recognize this emotion, so he can better understand it and use it to his advantage when playing the piano.

Penalty, Bakary's cat, has died. It's all Bakary can talk about now, and he's locked himself away in his sadness. By studying a Mozart sonata, Max understands, thanks to the Maestro, that opposing emotions can coexist without annihilating each other.

Max is very disappointed when he listens to a recording of his last piano lesson: all he hears are the flaws in his interpretation.

Convinced that his father's lack of notoriety will work against him, Max soon realizes that talent has nothing to do with fame. He learns to be honest with his friends and to tell the truth.

The VNR Ninjas want to throw a party. The parents agree, on condition that they find a high school senior to chaperone.

Lamia reunites with one of her childhood friends and abandons her role as manager of the VNR Ninjas. Max is jealous, but Maestro will make him understand that friendship doesn't have to be exclusive.

Lamia is furious when she discovers that a beach rugby competition is forbidden to girls and that she is forced to do Tahitian dance.

Max is not interested in the event Lamia wants to organize for a lunar eclipse. The Maestro, disappointed that his pupil isn't more curious about the world around him, forbids Max to touch a piano.

Max and his friends have run out of inspiration; they're sure it's coming from their local, which isn't very conducive to creativity.
