Petite Casbah

Khadidja has just arrived in Algiers to live with her brother Malek, who will soon be enrolling her in school. With him, she discovers white Algiers and the reality of the city in 1955.

Khadidja wakes up after her first night in Lyes' cabin. Lyes asks Philippe for a big favor to improve his guest's daily life: give her his mattress. In exchange, he promises to introduce her to his idol.

Khadidja now has a mattress, but the hut is still quite dilapidated, especially when it rains. The whole gang sets off for the Ravin de la Femme Sauvage, a wooded area reputed to be haunted, to find the materials needed to build a roof.

Mr. Germain gives the boys a letter Malek has written to Khadidja. But Philippe, still furious at Lyes for throwing tomatoes, refuses to set foot in the cabin again.

It's an important day for Philippe's father: his boss has invited the whole family to lunch at the beach. Philippe is delighted, but a little stressed because he's going to run into Annie, with whom he's secretly in love.

The children hatch a plan to get the notebook back from Guy: Lyes must retrieve it undetected. The clock is ticking and Khadidja's date with Nejib is fast approaching. But the plan goes awry.
