Les risques naturels

This video presents some of the natural hazards that can occur on Earth. These include weather hazards, volcanic hazards, and seismic hazards. Weather hazards include storms, floods, heat waves, and droughts. Volcanoes can also be hazardous when they erupt. Dust, ash, rocks, and lava (pyroclastic flows) are ejected from volcanoes and thrown into the sky. Earthquakes can also cause significant damage. The closer a location is to the epicenter, the stronger the tremors. Fortunately, it is possible to prevent these risks. To do this, there are earthquake, volcano, and weather monitoring stations. Based on the results from these stations, the weather forecast indicates whether there is a risk of storms, floods, or heat waves. Residents in areas at risk are also warned so that they can evacuate the city if necessary. It is therefore very important to follow safety instructions to avoid accidents.
