Décoloniser l'histoire

Décoloniser l’histoire is a series of 10 vignettes that look at Canadian history from a different perspective, that of underrepresented communities. The episodes uncover injustices and offer a new perspective on the various abuses and misdeeds experienced by Blacks, Jews, Indigenous, Chinese and women in Canada over the past century. The vignettes provide excellent opportunities to address topics related to Canadian history and provide ways to engage students through surprise and the derision of the commentators. Students will also benefit from excellent opportunities to engage in debate in French, analyzing past events to better shape the future.
