The virtual world offers a variety of educational and recreational content that is accessible to students. Above all, it is essential to help them recognize anxiety-inducing and inappropriate content, both in the classroom and at home, by addressing online safety. The video provides support to the Kindergarten educator team to facilitate the teaching and learning of the knowledge and skills related to online safety (specific expectation 6.4, revised – The 2019 Addendum to The Kindergarten Program). Establishing rules of use, learning to identify one's emotions, and demonstrating calmness and empathy are some of the strategies discussed.
