Anton

Thomas is from Ottawa. He enjoys having access to all the things the city has to offer as much as he enjoys discovering the beauty of nature. He appreciates multiculturalism because it allows him to be friends with young people from different backgrounds.

Zoe has Icelandic roots through her grandparents and feels accepted and free to think as she pleases in Canada. She is grateful to have access to education and healthcare.

Tayma is from Syria, and in her words: “Canada is a land of wonder and equality, because people don’t treat each other differently based on religion, skin color, or even gender.”

Elizabeth is from Russia and is planning a career as a politician to help Canada, a country where she appreciates the right to be free. She also loves dancing and poutine!

For Farentz, originally from Haiti, Canada is a country of love and very welcoming. Everyone is nice and you can be anything you want. Farentz won a medal for spelling words like: arachibutyrophobia!

Hemeda was born in Calgary and her family is originally from Djibouti. For her, being Canadian means being lucky. It means having a nice home, good friends, good neighbors, and a good prime minister!

Yacob is of Ethiopian origin. He loves Canada's beaches and national parks. He loves the snow and his Canadian friends who come from other countries like England, Morocco, and Djibouti.
