KAPSUR SHAINA-KIM sur la Côte-Nord au Québec

Welcome to Ekuanitshit, also known as Mingan, an Innu village on the North Shore of Quebec with a population of just 600! Here, winter transforms the landscape into an immense playground, and 11-year-old Shaïna-Kim makes the most of it. A 6th-grader at Saint-François d'Assise school, she loves to move, especially in physical education, where she gives her all to the game of Moyak, a variant of dodgeball. An avid hockey player, she is the only girl on her team and doesn't hesitate to take to the ice. Innu traditions are important to her: she puts on a dress to dance a girls-only healing dance at Pow-wow celebrations, and shares a beautiful moment with her grandmother as they bake bannock. Finally, when it comes to getting around in the snow, there's nothing like a snowmobile ride across the vast expanses of the North Shore! With Shaïna-Kim, we plunge into the heart of Innu culture and Quebec winter.
