Manuela, Karine and Liam begin their new life in Oak Ridge. While Karine attends a job interview, Manuela and Liam meet their new classmates. On her first day back at school, Manuela makes an unexpected discovery.

Riddled with questions, Manuela heads for Toronto in search of answers. Together with Kim, she sets out to meet the mysterious man in the photos discovered in the family album the day before.

Visiting Frantz, Manuela meets Aiden. Entranced by her father's stories of his youth, which she had never heard before, Manuela loses track of time and misses the last bus to Oak Ridge.

After a rather disappointing meeting with the director of York University's law program, Manuela reunites with Aiden, who takes her on a tour of Black Star, his father's community center.

After discovering that her mother has been lying to her, Manuela is boiling with rage. At school, the activity organized by the student committee isn't very popular, but Manuela hasn't said her last word.

Distraught by Manuela's drastic change in behavior, Karine seeks support from her work colleague Michelle.

Kim finally identifies the source of the computer problem attacking Black Star's server. Karine reveals the secret at the root of her family's conflict, which has haunted her for the past 15 years. Manuela, troubled by it all, decides to return home.
