La biodiversité des terres humides

Located about 40 kilometers north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Oak Hammock Marsh is home to 25 species of mammals, 300 species of birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish, as well as numerous invertebrates. During migration season, the number of water birds using the marsh can exceed 100,000 per day. The marsh is an important stop on the bird migration corridor. Marine biologist Pascal Badiou and a team of enthusiasts explain the research they are doing to protect the health of the marsh and to better understand where migratory birds come from.
