The challenge: designing the best wind turbine to obtain the highest number on the meter. The families have to operate one vertical and one horizontal wind turbine using different materials to make their blades. They can do as many tests as they want, but only the highest test score is retained for each type of wind turbine. The family with the highest total watts wins. An electrifying 30-minute challenge.
