After a few days in hospital, Jenny misses the comforts of home. Here, everything is grey, ugly and invasive. The chemo treatments have taken away her appetite and energy. But instead of wallowing in self-pity, the desire to see a boy she's crossed paths with makes her leave her room and discover her new surroundings. Her father and friends also make her feel their love. She thought it was all over, but realizes that life goes on, even if it's imperfect.
