Despite her illness, Jenny must continue her studies. Today, she's waiting for her favorite teacher to visit her to help her catch up on her studies, but instead, it's the dreaded Mr. Terror who shows up with a mountain of math homework to complete. Jenny doesn't seem to understand anything anymore and can't see how she'll ever finish it. She's already imagining repeating the year and losing her friends. Charles, who would like to spend more time with her, finds a way to help, but his plan confuses Jenny even more. There's no magic solution to make everything go faster. Jenny must accept the new pace imposed by her illness.
