It's a full moon and Mrs. Kelleur is excited to use her babalixir potion to get rid of ghosts forever. The Chicottes' invite her to dinner and Sam notices physical features of Mrs. Kelleur that worry him such as a wart on her cheek, a lump on her neck and her blackened fingernails. These signs are, in his opinion, characteristics of a witch. Edgar is afraid of the repercussions of the full moon and the babalixir. He takes advantage of Mrs. Kelleur's absence to go to her house to get the bottle, hoping to avoid a catastrophe.
