Jean-François receives the Coco egg. Why is an egg so strong when you squeeze it hard but so easily broken when you drop it? It's because the top and bottom of the egg are dome-shaped! To test the domes, participants walk on eggs, JF meets an architect from ancient Rome and a chick tries to break out of its shell.

In this activity, we discover that the geodesic domes are incredibly solid structures. The secret of their solidity? The triangles. Triangles are shapes that are rigid and indeformable. This means that domes can be created from very light materials, such as straws, bamboo... or rolled papers.
