Les lentilles

What can you see with lenses? Two investigators go in search of the lenses in everyday objects. Jean-François deconstructs a lens and explains that it contains two spherical caps. The lens can take different shapes but always seeks to modify the trajectory of light. We discuss refraction, the concave and convex lens, myopia and hyperopia. Participants are challenged to build their own telescope.
