Une plongée dans la préhistoire

The lake sturgeon is a prehistoric freshwater fish. During the 20th century, the sturgeon was almost fished to extinction. Eric Mullen and his team catch hundreds of sturgeon from the Winnipeg River to keep a critical eye on the species' demography. Since 2007, Manitoba Hydro has been managing a fish hatchery in Grand Rapids, Manitoba, to help maintain the lake sturgeon population in the region.
