Au Mali avec Aïcha
It is in Africa, near the desert of Sahel, that Aïcha, the little Malian girl, lives. Aïcha is lucky to go to school because, in her country, few children have this opportunity. In the streets of Bamako, the capital, Aïcha rides aboard a dourouni, a local taxi, and admires the traditional architecture of houses made with straw and cow dung, then she visits the market for animals and explains one of the ancient religions of Mali, animism, religion of wizards and magicians. Today a Muslim country, Mali, which is an old French colony, remains very attached to its mysterious rites intended to get rid of evil spirits!
