Ruth's parents were born in Haiti. They moved to Canada out of economic and political necessity. Through the story that Ruth and Ricardo tell us, camera in hand, we understand the path taken by this family. Recently moved to the suburbs, they take us on a tour of the old neighborhood where they were born and their new home in the suburbs.
