In this engaging educational experience for 1st and 2nd graders, Pénélope and Marie explore the different types of families around us and the role that families play in our lives. After watching a clip from the episode “Every Family Is Different!”, they invite the students to conduct their own survey. This is an excellent opportunity to review the concepts of data collection (frequency table) and data visualization. In a guided and structured manner, Marie helps the students create a pictogram and a bar chart.
