Since the closure of factories and the deterioration of the St. Lawrence River, Cornwall has been searching for a new solidarity inspired by the memory of its elders and parents. The Renaissance group, led by Chuck Charlebois, has undertaken to revitalize an entire sector of the city, with the goal of creating new ambitions, new activities, a new identity and new jobs. A success! We meet Gilles Lacelle, a newly retired teacher who now teaches French as a second language, Huguette Burroughs, a trucker in the community, social and political life of Eastern Ontario, and finally Gérald Samson, who is also active in many Francophone movements and organizations.
