·2017
Jean-Luc Brassard is at Elk Island National Park in central Alberta. This is Canada's only fully fenced national park. It's home to North America's largest mammal, the bison! Jean-Luc observes different species of bison and learns about their way of life. He learns more about the role of human activities in the risk of bison extermination and the reintroduction of beavers to the park. He discovers the physical adaptations of the owl and the particularities of the bat. He visits the park by bike, takes a canoe trip on Astotin Lake and docks on numerous islands to discover the local wildlife.
