Host Jean-Luc Brassard visits Wood Buffalo National Park in Alberta. This park is home to the largest bird in North America, the whooping crane, as well as large salt flats. Jean-Luc learns more about nesting, migration and protection of this species. We explore the impact of human activities on lakes and rivers. Jean-Luc learns about different fascinating aspects of the Dene culture, observes fish smoking and drying techniques and participates in the festivities organized on the occasion of National Indigenous Day in Fort Chipewyan.
